SWRI optimizes concentrated solar, vertical axis wind turbines and stirling engines in a uniquely, globally patented design. There is more wind with less solar energy consistently across the world and so by utilizing both, with in-built storage, SWRI provides electricity all day and night

A few things we’re great at
COST EFFICIENCY
Conventional renewable solutions force users to spend tens of thousands of dollars (or more) on batteries. There is more wind with less solar energy- and vice versa- consistently across the globe. By utilizing both wind and solar energy, with in-built storage, SWRI provides consistent electricity supply with minimal reliance on batteries. SWRI provides electricity more affordably than other technologies.
ECO FRIENDLY
Through mobile, light-weight design SWRI reduces noise to the equivalent of a refrigerator’s hum. SWRI avoids large quantities of cement pollution and minimizes impact on animals and fowl.
HIGH CAPACITY
SWRI more than doubles the capacity factor of other renewable energy devices to produce significantly more electricity in less space. SWRI has a capacity factor nearly as high as hydroelectricity. SWRI produces 400% more electricity per acre than contemporary technologies.
RELIABILITY
SWRI renewable energy units consistently provide your electricity demand all day and night in every season with minimal or no need for batteries.
BUILT FOR
Remote Areas
SWRI was formed to collaborate with and support Indigenous communities and other remote customers. By switching to SWRI renewable energy, Iqaluit, Nunavut, alone, can cut its electricity cost by 90%, saving 400 million dollars and eliminating 1 million tonnes of C02 over 30 years.
SERVICES
Iqaluit’s government can save significant government funds that would otherwise go towards lowering energy cost, and instead invest considerably into health care and other services.
COST
After government subsidies, Iqaluit residents currently still spend 35% of household expenses on electricity, while other Canadians pay 20% for their mortgage. SWRI makes energy affordable.
RELIABILITY
By leveraging both solar and wind consistently, SWRI ensures energy supply all year long.
ENVIRONMENT
Replacing Iqaluit’s diesel energy with SWRI renewables removes the equivalent of 185,000 cars’ CO2 emissions annually.
BUILT FOR
Urban Facilities, Businesses and Homes
No need to live off-grid to start reducing your carbon footprint, SWRI power microgrids have been designed to accommodate urban needs too. The size, weight, noise and capacity are adapted to an urban landscape and help condominiums as much as corporate buildings.
LOCAL
While conventional wind turbines must be 300m away from users and conventional solar units rely on expensive battery storage, SWRI can produce all needed electricity supply without battery storage close to users.
NOISE
Conventional wind turbines produce 105 db+, as much as firing rifle shots, and so can damage hearing if close to users. SWRI technology is designed to be only 42 db, as quiet as a running refrigerator: safe close to homes and businesses.
SPACE
SWRI units have such high energy utilization and capacity factors that they can produce each MW of electricity in half as much space as solar panels and a quarter as much space as wind turbines.
WEIGHT
Conventional wind turbines weigh an average of 160 tons. SWRI units weigh as little as 1.1 tons making them well suited for cities and businesses with weight limitation concerns
SWRI makes a more efficient grid
By producing 24/7 energy demand locally, thousands of km of electricity evaporation and millions of USD are saved.
