Our goal with this patent pending design concept is to provide a considerable contribution to the renewable energy space in terms of both its scalability - from single residential home systems through complete multi-unit power generation farms.

Its fully integrated combination of solar and wind applications would provide maximum generating power from a relatively small footprint.  The best in class single site solar systems in the world can generate 140 kwH/sq meter per year, within the Canadian region.  By comparison, our patent pending concept is designed to generate 400 kwH/sq meter per year.   

Combining solar and wind energy extraction into an integrated unit such as our concept, results in electricity generation that more closely matches residential demand needs. Should a "going off the grid" strategy be a future goal, it is designed to yield the need for significantly lower investment in storage batteries with possibly 70 to 75% lower. 

Our patent pending design concept utilizes solar parabolic mirrors that concentrate the sunlight onto smaller focusing mirrors that redirect and further concentrate the sunlight onto the hot receiver of our dual thermal engine design.  The mirrors track the sun using a dual axis control system and an automatic focussing mirror adjustment system that ensures, no matter what time of day, the continuing focal concentration of the solar energy onto the thermal engine.  Located above the solar collecting mirrors resides the vertical axis wind turbine.  Our thermal engine utilizes a unique kinematic rotary interface that operates on the same rotational axis as our wind turbine providing a solution that offers true sun/wind load sharing for the generator's mechanical inputs.

  In our fully integrated design, the windmill will continue to operate in low wind speed conditions primarily driven by solar thermal inputs, but continuing to harvest and reap energy benefits during a low wind speed condition. In contrast, current horizontal axis windmills installed within Ontario, sit idle more than 50% of the time because of low wind speed conditions?
